What is Obesity?
Obesity is a medical condition characterized by an excessive amount of body fat, increasing the risk of various health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension. It affects individuals of all ages but is most prevalent among adults, with higher rates observed in certain racial and ethnic groups. This is an Internal Medicine trial. What is Internal Medicine?
Internal medicine is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of adult diseases. Internists, or physicians specializing in internal medicine, manage a wide range of conditions affecting various organ systems, providing comprehensive care for chronic illnesses and complex medical issues.
This study may be right for you if:
- You are 18 years or older
- You are medically classified as obese (meaning you have a BMI of 30.0 or higher)
