What is Type 2 Diabetes?

Type 2 Diabetes is a chronic condition where the body either resists the effects of insulin—a hormone that regulates sugar—or doesn't produce enough insulin to maintain normal glucose levels. This leads to elevated blood sugar levels, which can cause various health issues over time, including heart disease, nerve damage, and vision problems. What is Internal Medicine?

Internal medicine is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of adult diseases. Internists, or physicians specializing in internal medicine, manage a wide range of conditions affecting various organ systems, providing comprehensive care for chronic illnesses and complex medical issues.

This study may be right for you if:

• You have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes by a medical professional
• You are 18 years or older
• You are able to travel to our clinics*
